McCain will give $300 million to anybody for new Car Battery!
John McCain said in a speech yesterday at Fresno State in California that he would give incentives if you drive cleaner greener cars!
Yes, finally an award and not a punishment of higher taxes. McCain actually wants to lower taxes and give incentives to be more environmentally friendly.
“My administration will issue a Clean Car Challenge to the automakers of America, in the form of a single and substantial tax credit based on the reduction of carbon emissions. For every automaker who can sell a zero-emissions car, we will commit a 5,000 dollar tax credit for each and every customer who buys that car. For other vehicles, whatever type they may be, the lower the carbon emissions, the higher the tax credit”(JohnMcCain.com ).
This Clean Car Challenge will help more people drive cleaner cars. Obama wants all these funds for research, environment education in the workforce. invest $10 billion for five years to the clean technologies deployment venture capital fund, and “Invest $150 billion over the next ten years to develop and deploy climate friendly energy supplies…“(BarackObama.com).
McCain is also “…offering a $300 million prize for the development of a battery package that has the size, capacity, cost and power to leapfrog the commercially available plug-in hybrids or electric cars. This is one dollar for every man, woman and child in the U.S. — a small price to pay for helping to break the back of our oil dependency — and should deliver a power source at 30 percent of the current costs”(JohnMcCain.com).
McCain is offering cold hard cash to people! Obama is not offering cold hard cash, he wants to take it from us and put in programs that he sees fit. Obama will start green taxes and will also raise gas prices by raising taxes, all in the effort of searching for alternative fuels. Obama hopes to “Reduce our dependence on foreign oil and reduce oil consumption overall by at least 35 percent, or 10 million barrels of oil, by 2030″(BarackObama).
With McCain’s plan of drilling for more oil and giving incentives to find alternative energy now. Price of gasoline will go down in 10 years! With Obama’s plan, price of gasoline will go up in 10 years and even more in the following years, that’s how he will wean us off of gasoline by 2030!
