Vets for Freedom Against Obama

Published by allykat at 5:21 pm under obama Edit This

Vets for freedom have put out an ad telling Obama that the surge worked and he should support the troops more and the surge. Obama says he supports the troops but not the war and not their actions.

Here’s the ad:

Iraq has a democracy now. We must continue to support their freedom and democracy. We need to thank our wonderful troops more for the great success that has taken place in Iraq!

Fox news held an interview with, Pete Hegseth, chairman of Vets for Freedom and he said, “Well, I think he needs to be more about than just victimizing. We heard a lot from Michelle Obama about her (UNINTELLIGIBLE) victims and it’s tough. It’s been difficult for the family. Yes, it has been. But let’s honor that difficulty, that sacrifice by finishing what we’ve started by dedicating to this mission and recognizing that we support the troops and the mission.

We think it’s intellectually inconsistent to say you support the troops not the mission. I’m a Vikings fan and that’s like saying, “I support the Minnesota Vikings but I don’t want to see them win the Super Bowl this year.“(foxnews.com).

It is true, how can we elect Obama to be Commander in Chief when he does not even support the troops mission?

God Bless America and God Bless our Troops.

Though you won’t approve my comment, it’s worth saying that “Vets for Freedom” is the same organization as “Swift Boat Vets for Truth”. No, they don’t have a political agenda. The negro clearly supports the justifiable war in Afghanistan, not the unnecessary war in Iraq. What’s better, saving face, or saving $10 billion a month? You know, from a strictly conservative point of view.

    You stole my comment, threedegrees!

Yes, it certainly looks like Barack Obama hates our troops even more than John Kerry. I’m no soldier, but I’m willing to bet the majority of them would rather return home with their lives than “honor.”

I have to say that the last quote is a little bit of a stretch. A big stretch. I’m proud to say that I support our troops. The men who risk their lives for our country are doing a service that often leaves them underpaid and underpriviledged. My father has won a pulitzer for a series he did on military medicine and how we weren’t providing adequate care for our troops. I do support our troops, and I don’t know if I support this war. My wavering support is from the fact that the administration has changed the point of this war three separate times. You can’t take away my support of the troops because I don’t give full support to this war. To do that would be blind. A lot of the soldiers over there fighting don’t even support the war, does that mean that they’re being unpatriotic? No, they are the true patriots. It’s easy to sit here on a computer in America, completely untouched by the issues that our troops are going through. Put yourself in their shoes. Put yourself in the shoes of families who have lost sons, fathers, cousins, uncles. Or in the shoes of Iraqi people who have seen U.S. bombs go off target and strike hospitals, schools, mosques and kill their family members. War is a terrible thing, something that most Americans can’t even fathom. It’s positions like these that the Republicans take on a consistent basis that makes me feel like I shouldn’t support them, even when I agree with them on a lot of issues. God bless America, and God bless our troops, but goddamn this war.
