McCain Won 2nd Presidential Debate!

Published by allykat at 9:11 pm under Presidential Candidates, john mccain, obama Edit This

Did you hear the question that asked about what sacrifices we will have to make?

McCain said we will have to cut programs that are not working and stop earmarks that are shamefully plugged into larger bills. Obama tells us that we need to think of ways to conserve energy. And Obama wants all people to join the Peace corps.

Obama does not want to cut everybody’s taxes, he does not want true fairness. McCain does not want to raise taxes on anybody during our economic times.

McCain repeatedly said to look at their records, because you will see how they really feel about the issues and get a feel for their judgment and character.

So Obama is going to fine people if businesses do not provide healthcare and fine parents if they do not provide healthcare for their children. Plus, after McCain asked him how much, Obama still did not answer. And Obama said for the second time that he does not want people with asthma going to the emergency room. I do not want Obama choosing for me whether I can or cannot go to the emergency room. McCain wants to give everybody the Choice of healthcare, $5,000 credit, and make sure that it is affordable for everyone.

McCain does not want to quit in Iraq. He does not want to give in to terrorism, which could cause more attacks on American soil. McCain says never again to a holocaust. Obama wants to stop spending money on the military. Obama does not want a holocaust either, but does not want to stop it when it is not possible, deemed by him. Obama keeps giving two answers to everything and keeps changing his mind, that way he can have both ways and not be blamed for either.

I thought McCain answered the last question about what he does not know the best! Obama just talked in circles, because he will be learning on the job as President. McCain said he does not know the future or whether we will be attacked by terrorists again. McCain has the strong character and judgment to react correctly in such an tragedy, which has been proven again and again.

McCain won the debate overall. Obama just talked in circles about points he has been taught to talk about.

Vote for McCain/Palin 2008!

I actually thought Obama did a good job on several points including energy alternatives, explaining his health plan, how the world looks at us as a nation (and how he’d like to change it).

Overall though, I think they both tended to say what they wanted to say and that neither of them did a great job of staying on the question topics.

Did you just mute the TV whenever the black guy came on?

Well the international media disagrees. Whilst they agree that neither of the candidates hit it out of the ballpark, the consensus is that it was an Obama victory - not even a draw - but a win.

To “USA all the way” I’d say that if John McCain listened to his wife more he wouldn’t have Sarah Palin helping the opposition every time she opens her mouth! I agree that Cindy McCain has the makings of a good First Lady - unfortunately she’s married to John McCain who may be a good guy but he’s not the person to get the US out of its current crisis and back to “leader of the free world” status.

It’s very interesting how people see the same debates and yet hear different things.

    Delusions:

    “The economy is fundamnetally strong.”
“Brownie is doing a great job.”
    “We’ll be welcomed as liberators.”
“The weapons of mass destruction went to Syria.”
    “9/11 was Clinton’s fault.”
You can torture people and not lose respect from the world’s nations.
You can endlessly deregulate and the rich corporations wont abuse the deregulation.
You can fire judges for political reasons and not undermine democracy.
    Obama is a terrorist
You can fool the people all the time

    Zack-
I LOVE McCain and Im a republican. Why wont democrats admit that McCain is the obvious better choice for the future of America? Were you watching the same debate that I was?

no wonder America is in the crapper, you idiots have no idea what youre listening to. It was pretty much a draw, obama had the slight edge, even reublican strategists believe this.

Anonymous….Please dont get offensive on this blog. If you were so proud and clear on your opinions why wont you leave a name? Also instead of just calling people whose opinion differs from yours “idiots” why dont you come up with an actual REASON to defend the way you believe? And also in response to your first post, nowhere in Conservative Ally’s post did it say anything about Christianity. So why even bring it up? thats not even the issue we are discussing here.

Also I tend to believe that whoever won the debate was probably the person you liked better in the first place, whoever that may be.

For me I liked McCain, so I thought he did a better job. Obama fans think Obama won. It really doesnt matter because debates arent like football games. And the score doesnt really matter until the end of the season when we get to vote for who we want in office.

My personal opinion of the debate was that often Obama came off as defensive. McCain came off as well informed.
