Does God Cause Good and Evil?
Does God cause everything that happens, good and evil?
God knows what is going to happen for he is past, present, and the future. God is good, he cannot be next to sin. God gave humans free will to choose.
Humans chose to know evil. It goes back to Adam and Eve. God told Adam and Eve to eat of any fruit they wanted to, but not of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, for they will surly die. They choose to know of evil.
God’s grace is amazing. God loves everybody no matter what, even evil people. He wants to be with us all, but he cannot because every human being has been born into sin from Adam. We are all sinners.
So he gave his only son Jesus Christ as a gift for us to be with him again. He gave us a second chance. Jesus Christ is God’s son and was perfect. He committed no sin. Jesus gave his perfect life for us, so our sins would be washed away. Jesus’ death gave us life. Jesus is about life. And God used the evil that caused Jesus crucifixion to bring about eternal life.
“For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit,”- 1 Peter 3:18
All we have to do is accept and believe in God’s gift and we will be worthy to be with God in Heaven. We strive to be good and follow God’s will, but our good deeds do not get us into heaven. We have to believe, that is it.
The Devil is very real and so is hell. God chased the Devil who was an angel out of heaven. And we have the choice to do the Devil’s work or God’s work.
God uses evil to defeat evil and produce good. And when we face the choice to do something evil or good, what we choose makes us better or worse. We all have to struggle with our desires and feelings that want to give in to sin. We must fight the evil and choose to be good.

We have a different understanding of God apparently. I don’t think God is good. I think God IS…and is beyond our full (partial/any) comprehension. To qualify God as good limits ‘him’ and means that there is a separate evil that is equal to him, which I do not believe.
As for God using evil to produce good, I don’t believe that either. Free will gives humans the power over their own lives and, necessarily, leaves God out of it. We make our choices and do our thing without interference or a grand plan from God. Just because God knows what has been, is, and will be does not mean he is controlling it all.
So to answer your question…no, I don’t think God causes good or evil.
I don’t know which is more cruel…believing that you have a personal relationship with an imaginary thing, or believing that that imaginary thing is a puppet-master.
What prompted you to tell a whole Christian theology? I’m just curious.
As for using evil to defeat good, I think God uses or mistakes if they are there but I can’t see a good God wanting evil.
Blessings and curses, life and death always are in the palm of our hands as Deuteronomy says in so many words. I really believe this.

God is good. We as humans have free will and therefore can make the choice whether or not to do right. The only problem is we do not choose to do right. God is not only good He is perfect in every way. He is a perfect Father and therefore does not force us to do His will. We are however chastised when we do not. That could be as simple as us telling a lie(sin) the other person finds out(sin revealed) and we suffer the embarrassment of the revealed truth(chastisement). I know that is an oversimplified example but it would seem some readers need that. Personally I thought you did a fine job. Come visit at my place and see what I do.
What was that first guy even saying…..Hes just listening to his own nonsense anyways…..You dont know what God does or doesnt do but he doesnt need you tellin em buddy….I find the blog most accurate and keep it rude in this next millenium because theres alot of weiners like that guy around……
Also three degrees is just a little baby and wants to watch his little baby t.v. shows and not consider real things because hes got a little baby attitude…..
If God can see into the future and isnt bounded by time than the past and present is only a human concept therefore some things we might think of as evil in our life might be great blessings but were just not seeing the whole picture as God can see the beginning and the end so even those wormy guys might actually use their wormhood to read a book and actually think about stuff and then can go write blogs about thier small worms…..
Or maybe fourteen billion years ago there was a giant explosion that unleashed all matter and all the necessary elements needed to create life.
Are we really contemplating God? I’m Catholic and believe in God. But I really don’t think there is any point in trying to convince atheists that God does exist. They have made their decision as I have made mine. No point arguing about it, because then you just push people like that farther away from God. Lead by example not by argumentative force.
That being said can we get back to politics now? This is the time we should be talking about politics as the future of our nation is uncertain!
