Red, White and Blue Christmas
Happy Friday everyone!
I hope you all are having a great Christmas season!
Have you been to any holiday parties yet? Or perhaps you are going to one tonight? Whatever you are up too, I hope you will be celebrating Christmas with loved ones soon.
Did you know that the White House puts on a holiday party nearly everyday leading up to Christmas?
“More than 60,000 visitors are expected to visit the White House for tours, with 25 holiday receptions and seven dinners planned.” (foxnews.com)
There is also a huge White House’s North Portica replica made up of 125 pounds of gingerbread and 350 pounds of white chocolate. And there are 22,000 holiday cookies, 250 coconut cakes, 600 pounds of asparagus and 700 gallons of eggnog.
They have been having a red, white, and blue Christmas ever since the 9/11 attacks. And they bring back Christmas decorations from the past and little replicas of past Presidents houses, including Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln.
God Bless America and our many freedoms during this Christmas season!

Not to split hairs here, but I’m pretty sure Jesus was not born on Dec 25th at all, but the Romans co-opted that date to coincide with the Pagan winter solstice holiday and Hanukkah.
It was the Roman Catholics, not the Romans (more precisely, the early Christian church). But you are right on the date; Christ was born during a tax season (whenever that was way back when). There was no snow, no tree, and Santa was still a long way from conception. There was a big shiny star, though.

Also it doesnt matter when Jesus was born. Only that we celebrate his birth. We should celebrate his life everyday.
