Support the Soldiers with a Pin-up Calendar

Published by allykat at 9:17 pm under America Edit This

A 26 year old woman in California, Gina Elise, is raising money and morale for hospitalized Veterans. She wanted to do something to support the soldiers in underfunded hospitals and she always loved the retro pin-up look. So she started spreading the word and got together with some of her friends who were photographers and she made a pin-up calendar.

At Pinupsforvets.com, with a donation of $22 or more, anyone can purchase a calendar for themselves, a hospitalized veteran or a deployed service member, along with a personal message of appreciation.”(Foxnews.com)

She also personally delivers the calendars to the soldiers in their hospital beds. Some soldiers do not get any visitors, so that is so awesome that she goes in personally. She says she gets more than she gives too when visiting, “At one VA hospital in San Diego, I left the room after talking to a veteran and all the nurses rushed toward me saying they were in shock because he’d suffered a traumatic brain injury and that was the first time he’d spoken in a month!”(Foxnews.com)

I just think this is such an awesome story. What a great way to help out our American troops.

I would much rather support the troops this way than with one of those stupid magnetic ribbons! And if you like the pinups, check out titsfortroops.net (NSFW)

This is a great idea. AS long as she truly is sending the money to the troops and not taking advantage. Everyone loves sexy girls and supporting our troops is an excellent cause.
