Obama Wants to Sit Down with Hamas?

Published by allykat at 8:06 pm under Israel, obama Edit This

Obama wants to sit down and talk with Hamas!? What does that tell the Middle East and Israel? It does not sound good to me. I cannot believe that so many people in our country are against Israel defending themselves from terrorism. It is so sad. Israel is fighting our same enemy. Radical Islamic terrorists want to kill all of us. They want to wipe Israel from the face of the earth.

Watch this video for a little about what Hamas stands for:

Oh no, somebody trying actual diplomacy for once! It’s the end of the damn world. What’s next? Dogs and cats living together in harmony?

Try to remember that there’s a big difference between being against Israel and being against all forms of war.

There is a difference between being diplomatic and giving legitimacy to a known terror organization.

I agree with you Mel. Nothing good can come of it. Only bad things (like giving legitimacy to a known terror group) or a big fat waste of time and money.

HmMM…….Does it smell like anti christ to anyone else or that just my toaster oven acting up again? Either way, not good.

There’s serious trouble in the Middle East right now and Bush can’t show his face there. He’s the laughingstock of the world when it comes to diplomacy. What’s wrong with a little diplomacy? We should return to our place of mutual respect within foreign politics.

Oh you poor dogmatic fools! Try thinking outside the box for once. The world does not revolve around rules set by the likes of Dick Cheney.

PS, the previous comment was not directed toward Michellem or Bill Finger :)

Are you so sure that Isreal is free from blame? Sorry, but these are not the cute, little, underdog Isrealites that you learned about in Sunday School. They have a long history of aggression in the region and have manipulated and taken advantage of their strong ties with Western allies in the process. Neither side is perfect, and I think that both sides do have legitimate claims to the region (Palestinians do, after all, consider Isreal their homeland as well). Basing your ideas solely on political precedent, or even worse biblical precendent, is not only ignorant, it’s dangerous.

I am for peace far more than war. How many conflicts have ever, EVER ended on the battle field? Diplomacy doesn’t give legitmacy to groups. It saves lives ON ALL SIDES - how on earth is that bad?

Oh you silly silly things……..Diplomacy is great. Yes. When it comes to England, or France, or Canada. Yes wonderful. Lets sit down and have a little chat and everything will be wonderful. WHen you sit down with a KNOWN TERRORIST ORGANIZATION (everyone loves when I use caps) its a bad thing! Its like sitting down with Osama and saying “you know how you bloweded up that building sir? Well that kind of hurt us in the feelings! Can we be friends now?” You have got to be out of your mind!

Oh poor Tommy Boy. It must be unbearable going through life with such a compulsion to make incredibly lame arguments that go against basic logic and common sense or oversimplifying very complex issues just for the sake of arguing. I guess what I’m trying to say, in the wise words of the great Red Foreman, is don’t be such a dumbass.

    You must excuse Jason.

I’d love some examples of wars ended without diplomacy. Anyone?
Look at what has happened in Northern Ireland once discussions became more common and violence less. It’s far from perfect there, but more good has come from talk than fighting.
It’s sad how certain people see wanting peaceful resolutions as far-fetched and unrealistic. But I guess that’s what happens when you’re raised to believe weapons are tools of peace.

Oh Poor Republican, another mental giant of the right! How do you have time to post a comment over here when you’re so busy being oppressed and victimized by the huge liberal conspiracy? And how does somebody like you even manage to spell a name like “Neville?”
