A Conservative Victory!

Published by allykat under Government Edit This

Saxby Chambliss has won a seat in the U.S. Senate. The Republicans now have 41 votes in the Senate. Chambliss pledges to bring back the Conservative movement! He wants lower taxes, smaller government, and to protect our individual freedoms!

Chambliss with the 41 votes can now fight to protect our 2nd amendment rights! The Republicans now have filibuster power. So Obama’s radical left agenda will have a hard time passing!

It does make me wonder why Obama did not help campaign for Martin more, in order Saxby Chamblissto get all 60 votes and filibuster proof.

A victory for Conservatives has been won today!

God bless America and our many freedoms!

California Supreme Courts Hear Lawsuits Against the People’s Right to Vote

Published by allykat under America, Government Edit This

In California, Prop 8 passed and many gays have been furious ever since. They have protested and trashed churches and worse…

Californians voted and it passed, the people spoke. Homosexuals preach tolerance and yet they invade and trash churches!

Now California’s supreme court said today that they will hear three lawsuits protesting the people’s vote. The court said they will review the lawsuits that want gay marriage.(foxnews.com)

I thought marriage was a religious institution. What ever happen to separation of church and state? :) And if the courts decided to overturn the amendment, will they be declaring the state constitution, unconstitutional? Wouldn’t that make the state constitution meaningless from now on?

Why do we want to let the courts take control of the state? What about the people’s right to vote and to amend the constitution?

So we will have to wait and see what happens…

Spread the Wealth from Your Heart Not by Force!

“He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward him for what he has done.” (Prov. 19:17 NIV; see also Prov. 14:31 and 29:7

God wants all of us to be responsible and all of us to help the poor. Our indivdual responsbilities to help the needy should not be placed on the government.

There is a big difference in the government forcing you to “spread the wealth” around and you willing to give out of your own heart.

Forcing someone to do something is not about freedom and choice. And God is all about freedom, choice, and love.

God wants our hearts in it. He wants us to form a relationship with the poor people. And to help your neighbor or friend in need. Giving to your church or charities have been proven to help the poor better than the government. Charities are better at helping people one on one than the government.

The government has proven to be unsuccessful in helping the poor. Programs like social security are not working. The government has been heading down the wrong path for a long time by performing the roles of the church and charities. The church, government, and the people need to realize this more. And Obama’s socialist plans will make the world a worst place not better. People know how to spend their own money better than the government.

“In 1964, we started the War in Poverty. We have spent over $10 trillion to combat a poverty rate that stood at 14% when the “war” started. It is still at 14% and now we redistribute over $1 trillion a year. In other words, despite all of that redistribution, despite the loss of all our freedom, despite all of those taxes – the policies and programs produced very little results - and yet we continue to enact such polices almost without critical thinking.

In light of that, in my view, it is time we understand the genius of our Founding Fathers. We must renew their Revolution against confiscatory government and their rejection of Obama’s fundamentally flawed thinking before our civilization falls by the wayside of other failed socialist experiments”(politicalvanguard.com).

How does forcing a rich guy to give his money away make him want to work more for the fruits of his labor when it will just be taken away from him? Also, the rich guy became rich by providing a service or helping people, so why would he want to help more people if he was going to be punished and forced to give up his money?

And yes, Jesus does want us to pay taxes. Jesus said, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.” Our money is not ours. It is Gods. Everything comes from God, but that does not mean that you must give everything to help the poor. There is no strict set of rules of how much you have to give.

God said there will always be poor no matter what. And we should help them out of our hearts voluntarily.

Also God never said that money is evil. He wants people to strive to make more money and spend their money wisely. Greed is evil, not money itself. To love money more than anything else and more than God is sinful. God wants us to be compassionate, generous, and to love one another from our hearts.

“Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver”[NIV](2 Corinthians 9).

Should You Always Obey the Government?

Romans 13

1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

President Obama will be the President of the United States soon and we should respect him and pray for him. The office of the President and the Government should be respected and we should obey. However, just because Obama will be President does not mean we have to agree with everything he does. And we should critique him, it is our freedom and right to do so. One should fight for their individual freedoms. If Obama does try to change the Constitution of the United States and limit our individual freedoms, I will fight.

The Constitution gave us a republic with a limited government and many individual freedoms. With many individual freedoms, we must have self-government, which is what America is founded on.

When it comes to God and the Bible, government does not just mean civil government. Self-government is the most important and the founding fathers knew this, which is why religion is encourage. The second most important government is the family, third is the church, and last is the civil government.

Our Constitution specifically limit’s the power of the civil government for a reason. If the civil government is given too much power they can take away our individual freedoms and become a tyranny.

According to the Bible, the purpose of the institution of civil government is justice. To punish sin and evil and to provide national security.

Romans 13 teaches that the President of the United States and every government official must submit to the U.S. Constitution and are the ordinance of God.In God We Trust!

God did not ordained a particular ruler, but the institution of civil government. God does not say to submit to and obey evil persons and their government no matter what, only when they are good. Every citizen should obey the civil government, but only when the civil government does not stop the citizen from obeying God and the U.S. Constitution.

A sermon from John Mayhew, “…urges the duty of obedience from this topic of argument, that civil rulers, as they are supposed to fulfill the pleasure of God, are the ordinance of God. But how is this an argument for obedience to such rulers as do not perform the pleasure of God, by doing good; but the pleasure of the devil, by doing evil; and such as are not, therefore, God’s ministers, but the devil’s! Is resisting those who resist God’s will, the same thing with resisting God?” (wnd.com)

Will America be Independent of Foreign Oil by Independence Day!?

Published by allykat under Government, oil Edit This

Congress please lift the ban for American hard working families!Bush’s is pushing for a plan to Congress to lift the ban on off-shore drilling! I am so happy that Bush is finally supporting drilling for oil in America! However the Deomocratic Congress said they were too busy with some other bill to focus on lifting the ban for off-shore drilling, which will help lower the price of gas today! Too busy, that is just another excuse to further hurt America’s economy.

President Bush said, “…that if congressional leaders head home for their July 4 recess without taking action, they will need to explain why $4 a gallon gasoline is not enough incentive for them to act. And Americans will rightly ask how high gas prices have to rise before the Democratic-controlled Congress will do something about it.”

America will be more free and independent of foreign oil by July 4th! How appropriate that will be and that will give us all another reason to travel to our families and celebrate with them this Independence Day! However, will the Demoractic-controlled Congress let us be more of an independent America is the question.

America can produce oil more safely and environmentally friendly than other countries, with our technology that has come such a long way, as I mentioned in my other oil post. And it is not like we will stop finding ways to depend solely on alternative fuels, we just need to depend on fossil fuels in the mean time. So unless you want to start paying $10 a gallon, we have to drill now!

Drilling for oil as soon as possible will reduce the price of gas quickly. Other countries will see that America will be producing more oil and so if they want to compete then they will have to lower prices. Speculators seeing that there will be more supply of oil may reduce prices too.

John McCain announced on Monday that he supports lifting the ban too! McCain said in his speech about energy that, “Oil revenues are enriching the enemies of the United States, and potentially limiting our own options in containing the threat they present. Iran alone receives more than 66 billion dollars a year from oil sales, even as that regime finances terrorists, threatens Israel, and endangers the peace of the world with its designs on nuclear weapons.”

Producing oil in America will help fight terrorism! The Democratic-controlled Congress needs to start promoting freedom and let us drill for oil now!

Stand up for American Citizens not Criminals!

Illegal aliens keep coming in our borders during our war time. Illegal aliens keep killing our children with drugs. Illegal aliens keep killing American citizens through car accidents and murder. Illegal aliens are stealing our hard earned dollars through identity theft, robbery, our jobs, and much more. Americans will do the work that illegal aliens are doing! Illegal aliens are getting free health care and education that hard working Americans pay for. Illegal aliens are coming here for the new American dream, to not work and get paid for it. The Bush administration did not have a hard enough stance against illegal aliens. John McCain does not either. Where are the conservative republicans?

Fortunately, we the people can do something! It is up to us now to tell the politicians that we will not stand for criminals breaking our laws anymore.

Here are a few ways to take a stand right now:

1. Join the Miller Boycott! Yes, the Miller Brewing company that makes Miller Genuine Draft beer. They supported the illegal immigration walk by donating $30,000 to the cause. Stop drinking all Miller beer products and tell your friends! You can also sign the petition at millerboycott.com .

2. Do not use Bank of America! Bank of America distributes credit cards to illegal aliens. Do not support this program. Check to see if your bank supports this program and sign the petition at bankofamericaboycott.com

3. Talk and write to your senators , find petitions that you agree with.

Stand up for America!

Unemployment up, Interest Rates Down, No Big Government!

Published by allykat under Government Edit This

Unemployment rate is 5.5% right now, which is unfortunate for those unemployed and the economy. This was an unexpected increase for the stock market. Therefore this is good for interest rates, which have gone down. So the unemployment rate may not be so bad for the housing market. For more information check out: heerstheateam.com.

President Bush also announced a new housing secretary today. Mr. Steven Preston will be the head of the Housing and Urban Development Department for the remainder of Bush’s term. President Bush said, “He will aggressively work to ensure that the department remains focused on its mission of making housing more affordable and helping Americans keep their homes.”

America can Prosper in Freedom!

I am definitely for making homes more affordable for Americans. However, I am NOT for the government handing out anything to certain people who could not afford their housing payment in the first place and went into it with no intention of paying their payments.

The congress and others caused this housing problem by ordering lending institutions to lower their standards and approve mortgages to people who everybody knew would be in default and foreclosure. Many of these people in foreclosures were renters and now they will just go back to being renters. I just think that people should take responsibility for their own actions. And not want the government to give them everything and make every choice in their lives. We do not need big government. We Americans are very capable of living our lives in prosper and freedom.
