Health Care Freedoms

Here is the continuation post of McCain’s plans to help fix the high cost of health care.

  • Medicare and Medicaid will be reform so money is not spent medical errors and mismanagement. States options with Medicaid and coordinated payments and Medicare with private insurance.
  • McCain also wants a liability reform. People should have the right to legalities to bad medical practice, but not to frivolous lawsuits against the doctors. All of these frivolous lawsuits is oneHealth Care Freedoms of the reasons that health care costs so much, which I talked about in another post.
  • McCain will confront the problem of people who need long-term care, through state-based programs such as PACE that will offer counseling service and care to people who in a home arrangement.
  • Those with pre-existing conditions do not have to worry either, because not only did McCain support an Act that provided some protection against denial of pre-existing conditions, but you will build protection against the cost of pre-existing conditions as long as you are employed and insured. McCain will work to find solutions and easily accessible care for those with pre-existing conditions.

McCain will offer people more choices and help increase industry competition, which will help lower the cost. People will be able to buy from any insurance company across state lines. McCain is offering people more freedoms with their health care and does force anybody to have it.

John McCain’s Health Care Plans

The problem with the ever increasing health care cost is not an easy problem to solve. Check out my other post on a few reasons for the high price of health care.

We all want Quality Dentists with McCain’s plansquality health care, the best that we can get. I have written some posts about universal heath care here . The debate over universal health care will be a long one and there are some advantages, but also some strong disadvantages.

McCain is proposing many ideas that look promising to lower costs. McCain believes that health care should be available to all and that the people should have control over their health care money and care.

  • McCain will offer more choices besides an employer-based health care insurance. There will be the option for a refundable tax credit of $2,500 for individuals and $5,000 for families to help pay for the cost of insurance.
  • A portable insurance plan is in the works. You will not have to worry about moving from job to job, this plan follows you.
  • Americans with incomes below a certain level will have access to a Guaranteed Access Plan, which is state sponsored. A non-profit corporation would also help those that are not covered by pooling with other states.
  • McCain will help drugs to be more affordable by pushing generic drugs to emerge quicker. He will also bring a more competitive market through re-importation of safe drugs.Quality Health Care
  • In McCain’s plans more federal research will occur to help cure chronic diseases.By emphasizing prevention, early intervention, healthy habits, new treatment models, new public health infrastructure and the use of information technology, we can reduce health care costs”(JohnMcCain.com).
  • Coordinate care will be promoted. A single bill will be paid for diseases and it will make providers accountable to the needs of the patient.
  • McCain also wants great access to health care, such as walk-in clinics. I am all about convenience, as I am sure most of us busy Americans are too.

Universal Health Care = Pulling Out My Own Teeth!

Published by allykat under Health Care Edit This

Universal Health Care Means Bad Teeth!
If America has universal health care expect to wait years to get a simple operation and perhaps die during the wait. It will also be hard to get little checkups of quality care, for example a dentist. Now I know going to the dentist is not fun and nobody likes it, but you still have to go eventually.

However, dentists will be very hard to come by with a universal health care system. Expect to wait years to get on a list to see a dentist. Doctors do not want to pay all this money to go to school, work long hours, risk getting sued and all for a government paycheck. What would stop them from just pulling out your teeth? It is a lot faster, cheaper, and easier than drilling and putting crowns on.

At least we will all have bad teeth together right? No one will have better more quality care than you.

Take a look at this news story from England. Check out the terrible comments about dentists from people who live there and experience universal health care.

4 Reasons Why America’s Health Care is so Expensive!

Published by allykat under Health Care Edit This

Hand over your Money for Health Care!Universal health care will make the economy worst!

Let’s first take a look at why America’s health care is so expensive right now.

1. People are extremely sue crazy! Doctors are running more treatment tests because that is what patients want and so the doctors will not get sued.

2. More people are demanding more specific treatments or drugs. This is not hard to believe, since we are bombarded everyday with ads telling us that something is wrong with us and to take drugs. That fact that we can always find something wrong with us within these ads are scary too.

3. Drug prices are higher in America than in other countries. However we also demand that new research most be done to cure diseases. Researching costs more money.

4. Illegal aliens come in with all kinds of diseases and get treated through our already socialized medicare and medicaide systems. The fact that hospitals have to treat illegal aliens that come into emergency rooms costs billions of dollars.
